Responsibilities
- Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications
- Set up and and operate CNC OD and equipment with minimal supervision on a Studer grinding machine.
- Make adjustments as required to maintain print specifications
- Grind of spline shafts and aircraft gears holding tolerances of .0001” - .0005”
- Maintain proper documentation of SPC data and participate in certified operator program.
- Inspect faces and diameters using micrometers, gages and amps
- Perform in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges.
- Perform operator maintenance.
- Perform the required measurements to assure product quality
- Notify your Leader of all nonconforming product
- Other duties as assigned
- Working knowledge of Inspection Devices and Instruments
- Ability to translate prints along with understanding of GD&T
- Experience using Studer OD Grinder, FANUC controls using G code
- Proficiency in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring tools are required.
- Ability to utilize visual comparator and Precision Gear Check Equipment
