Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation of soft trim lamination equipment, injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and facility systems—particularly during plant startup and ramp-up to full production. This position requires a dependable, motivated professional with strong industrial maintenance experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, robots, and supporting equipment to ensure consistent production readiness.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems to minimize downtime.
- Set up, align, and calibrate molds to support efficient production launches.
- Maintain building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and hydraulic components.
- Schedule and complete routine maintenance tasks.
- Order, track, and manage spare parts inventory in coordination with the procurement department.
- Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Demonstrate reliability, commitment, and a strong work ethic in all maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical diploma or equivalent hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience maintaining injection molding equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- 2–3 years' experience as a maintenance, electronics, or robotics technician.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, robotics, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical systems, HVAC, and plumbing.
- Ability to work with electrical systems ranging from 12
VDC to 480
VAC three-phase. - Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
