We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Apprentice Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who has a strong aptitude for spreadsheets, data organization, and financial accuracy. The position offers hands‑on experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and data management within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Enter, review, and reconcile financial transactions in accounting systems
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes
- Prepare and update spreadsheets for financial tracking, reporting, and analysis
- Analyze data for discrepancies and ensure accuracy across systems
- Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking, as needed
- Generate basic financial reports and summaries for leadership
- Collaborate with team members to improve data workflows and reporting efficiency
- Perform administrative and accounting support tasks as assigned
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data organization required)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred
- Ability to work with large data sets and maintain accuracy
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and willingness to learn
- Ability to always maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude.
- Ability to get along with others and maintain positive working relationships with employees, management, patients and peers.
