Job Description
We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in OWINGS MILLS, Maryland. The individual will be part of a team in the financial industry, handling various tasks related to accounts payable, data entry, and invoice processing.
Responsibilities- Accurately keying invoices into the system to maintain up-to-date records.
- Assisting in the matching of purchase orders to ensure the accuracy of invoices.
- Reviewing invoice coding for discrepancies and making necessary corrections.
- Processing customer credit applications efficiently to ensure smooth financial transactions.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer credit records for easy reference and compliance.
- Resolving customer inquiries related to accounts payable and credit applications.
- Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Utilizing Microsoft Excel and Quick Books for various data entry and account reconciliation tasks.
- Ensuring the efficient processing of invoices to maintain the smooth operation of accounts payable.
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar financial position.
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.
- Experience with Coding Invoices is desired.
- Must have strong Data Entry skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience in Invoice Processing, including verifying, classifying, computing and recording invoices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and pivot tables.
- Must have experience with Quick Books for managing and processing financial transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and external parties.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate financial documentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field is preferred.
