Tax Partner

A well-established public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Partner to join its DC area office. This is a firm that has a strong Mid-Atlantic presence and a reputation for exceptional culture, work-life balance, and high-caliber client work.

The role is primarily focused on high net worth individual tax, with exposure to related pass-through entities and estate, gift, and trust work. The client base is already in place — this person will step into an existing book of business and work alongside a strong, tenured leadership team.

• Manage and grow a high net worth individual tax client portfolio
• Review complex 1040s and related S-corp, partnership, and real estate entity returns
• Apply estate, gift, and trust expertise where applicable
• Mentor and oversee senior staff, supervisors, and managers on engagements
• Contribute to firm-wide business development and cross-selling within the firm
• Participate in office leadership, workforce planning, and quarterly/annual meetings

• 10+ years of public accounting experience (15+ typical at this level)
• Deep technical expertise in high net worth individual tax (1040)
• Estate, gift, and trust background is a strong plus
• Regional or mid-size firm background preferred
• Stable tenure — commitment to long-term client relationships
• Located in or willing to commute to the DC area
