Job Description About the Company

A well-established structural steel fabrication and erection company based in Owings, MD is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Construction Accountant who knows their way around a job cost report as well as they know Quick Books.### About the Role This is a Full-cycle bookkeeping — AP, AR, payroll, bank reconciliations.### Responsibilities
* Job costing and WIP tracking across active projects
* Quick Books management, maintenance, and reporting
* Subcontractor payments, lien waivers, and compliance documentation
* Month-end close and financial reporting for ownership### Qualifications
* 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience — construction industry strongly preferred### Required Skills
* Advanced Quick Books proficiency is a must (Contractor or Enterprise versions a plus)
* Familiarity with AIA billing, certified payroll, or union reporting is a major plus
* Organized, self-sufficient, and comfortable owning the books without a lot of hand-holding
* Local to the Owings/Southern Maryland area — this is a fully on-site role
