Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk. The AP Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of company obligations.

Responsibilities

+ Review, verify, and process vendor invoices.

+ Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.

+ Enter accounts payable transactions into the accounting system.

+ Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.

+ Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.

+ Maintain accurate vendor files and records.

+ Assist with month-end closing activities.

+ Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments.

+ Generate accounts payable reports as requested.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Requirements

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.

+ 1-3 years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, or similar).

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Excellent organizational and communication skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
