Responsibilities

Lead and manage tax planning, compliance, and provision activities.

Provide expert guidance on tax law and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.

Advise on tax implications of business decisions and identify tax‑saving opportunities.

Oversee preparation and review of income tax returns, quarterly and annual financial reports.

Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.

Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors, representing the company during audits and disputes.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve reporting, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to keep company policies and strategies compliant.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree such as a Master’s in Taxation or a CPA preferred.

Minimum five years of experience in a tax principal or similar role; experience in a public accounting firm is a plus.

In‑depth knowledge of tax law, tax advisory, tax accounting, and financial reporting.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, clearly explaining complex tax information.

Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.

High level of integrity and professionalism, commitment to ethical business practices.
