Job Summary

This is a dual role position that will perform general administrative duties for the department it is assigned to as well as shipping/receiving responsibilities. The individual will perform routine clerical functions and may support more than one department simultaneously. Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow internal and external customer relationships for the purpose of improving company’s growth
  • Prepare simple forms or reports; sort and file documentation
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents
  • Answer phone calls; provide support to customers and contractors via phone and in-person
  • Maintain and update inventory records and customer information in provided software system
  • Refer to product catalogs and specification guides to determine related product uses and applications
  • Receive and locate all incoming material from truck and other sources into the ROI locations provided
  • Properly create BOL to ship trucks
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks
  • Read and route incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail and correspondence or other printed materials
  • Maintain communication with customers and vendors throughout shipping process
  • Print and assess any changes in Dispatch Reports that may need expediting
  • Answer and screen managers' phone calls, arrange conference calls and meetings, maintain conference room schedule
  • Greets visitors and directs to appropriate area or person
  • Orders and maintains supplies, and arranges for equipment maintenance
  • Conduct research, compile and type statistical reports
  • Perform some A/P & A/R filing and file maintenance
  • Reconcile petty cash – monthly
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma, Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent and one to two years office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment (phone, fax, copier, 10-key)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with employees, peers, supervisors, vendors and customers in an effective manner
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations such as add, subtract, multiply, divide and compute rate and ratio
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to perform sedentary work; occasional walking, standing, squatting, and bending required
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. and carry small objects
  • Prolonged sitting, repetitive use of fingers and hands for typing
  • Available to work overtime as necessary
