Main Purpose of Job
Responsible for all clerical operations within the County Assessment Office subject to the supervision of the Supervisor of Assessments.
Position Duties- Interact with the General Public in a timely and courteous manner, providing highly accurate information.
- Train all clerical staff to a level necessary so employees can perform efficiently.
- Delegate work to subordinates in a manner that produces the most efficient workflow.
- Evaluate subordinate employees fairly and in a manner that improves performance.
- Assist Supervisor in developing and implementing clerical office policy.
- Complete other duties in a timely manner as defined by the Supervisor.
- Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. - Experience:
Four years of clerical or technical experience in processing assessment records and forms.
Notes: Candidates may substitute additional experience performing general clerical duties on a year‑for‑year basis for up to two years of the required education. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non‑commissioned officer in financial administration and program classification or financial administration and program specialty codes in the accounting and budget field of work on a year‑for‑year basis for the required experience.

- Knowledge of policies and practices used in a local assessments office.
- Clerical or technical experience in processing property assessment records and forms.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational/time management skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Google platforms.
