The Arc Montgomery County has an exciting vacancy for a Respite Assistant. The Respite Assistant plays a crucial role as the primary point of contact for the Respite Coordination department. This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, deliver exceptional customer service, communicate effectively, and support a diverse range of personalities and individuals seeking respite care and related information.
WorkedPerformed:
Communication Management
- Track and meticulously maintain all relevant phone and email communications with families and vendors. Ensure that detailed notes are accurately recorded in the database.
- Input applications into the Respite Coordination database promptly and accurately.
General Office Support
- Provide essential office support tasks, including faxing, scanning, and mailing.
Guidance for Families
- Direct families to The Arc Montgomery County’s website to access the most up-to-date respite applications.
Scheduling and Coordination
- Schedule all family orientations efficiently.
- Ensure that vendor appointments are accurately placed on the department calendar, and reserve conference rooms as needed.
- Ensure database spend-down numbers and invoice numbers match to support accuracy of monthly billing.
- Assist the Respite Supervisor with the monthly billing process and annual renewal process.
Additional Duties
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Respite Supervisor or Respite Administrator.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- One year of relevant experience (30-degree credit hours may be substituted for one year of experience).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
$18.12 - $19.04 per hour depending on education and experience.
