The State Highway Administration's (SHA) District 6 (Washington County) is currently recruiting for a Shop Administrative Technician III position. This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum qualifications listed below. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies in this classification.
Nature of WorkThe Shop Administrative Technician (SAT) will procure materials, parts, supplies, and services for the maintenance facility. Also, this position will manage the receipt, storage, and disbursement of same, from the stock room at the maintenance facility. The incumbent in this position will maintain total working knowledge of Financial Management Information System (FMIS) - ADPICS and Bradley Inventory System to assist with procurement and inventory management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Education:
Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. - Experience:
Two (2) years of experience performing administrative support work and/or receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, materials and equipment in a storeroom, warehouse or other supply storage facility. May require the ability to type accurately at a speed of not less than twenty words per minute.
Candidate must possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the state of Maryland.
Candidate must obtain/possess the SHA Level I Small Procurement Training and other necessary certifications (ex. SAT Level II Supply) during the probationary period.
Special RequirementsEmployee must be available and willing to work shift work, nights, overtime or weekends as necessary.
