ECE Member Success & Business Specialist
We’re growing something new in Montgomery County, and we’re looking for the right person to help build it with us. The Montgomery County Shared Resources Collaborative (MC SRC) is a membership program built for child care providers, by people who understand their world. We’re growing fast, and we need someone who thrives in that environment: someone who can hold a big portfolio with one hand, coach a small business owner through a hard conversation with the other and genuinely enjoy figuring out systems and structures that don’t exist yet.
The ECE Member Success & Business Specialist is a new position, and the person who takes it will have real input into what it becomes. You’ll be working with a tight, high-trust team that moves fast and cares deeply about the providers we serve. We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial and flexible. Someone with a growth mindset who sees an evolving role as an opportunity.
If you’ve been looking for a place where your ideas matter, your work is visible, and the mission is real: this is it.
The SRC is at an inflection point. We have an established membership base, a strong coaching model, and real momentum — and we’re about to scale. The Member Success Specialist & Business Coach is the role that makes that scaling possible. Here’s how the role breaks down today. You’ll manage relationships with up to 100 Basic tier members — not one-on-one coaching, but a structured, high-touch portfolio that keeps members engaged and connected to what the SRC offers.
You’ll carry a smaller caseload of 5–10 Premium members for deeper 1:1 business coaching. You’ll co-facilitate group coaching sessions and Oasis peer groups. And you’ll keep the program running behind the scenes: onboarding, operations, portal, and vendor relationships.
What this role becomes is partly up to you. We’ve designed it with real headroom — room to take on more training delivery, more partnership work, more facilitation as you grow into it. We expect this role to evolve significantly over the first year, and we’re hiring someone who’s energized by that prospect.
You’ll report to our Senior Manager and work closely with our bilingual English and Spanish Business Coach. Language skills are an asset (Spanish or Amharic preferred). You’ll bring genuine curiosity about early childhood education and the business challenges providers face.
What You’ll DoOwn the Basic Tier Member Experience (~15–20% of your time)
This is the highest-volume part of the role, and the part that requires the most systems-thinking. Up to 100 Basic tier members get regular, light-touch support from you. The goal is that every member feels seen and connected, and that they get the most of their membership – feeling like it was more than worth it to join.
- Manage monthly touchpoints for a large Basic tier portfolio through templated check-ins, batched communications, and efficient follow-up systems you help build
- Serve as the primary point of contact for member questions and issues, making sure no one falls through the cracks
- Track member engagement and flag early signs of disengagement or unmet need
- Connect members to the right SRC resources, discounts, and tools at the right moments
Guide New Members Through Their First 90 Days (~10% of your time)
- Own the member onboarding experience from welcome email to first Oasis peer group: welcome and portal access, baseline and goal-setting, and putting the SRC to work for their business
- Ensure every new member understands what’s available to them and knows how to use it
- Continuously improve the onboarding experience based on what you’re hearing from members
Coach Premium Members 1:1 (~10–20% of your time)
You will handle a business coaching caseload of 5–10 members.
- Deliver monthly 1:1 coaching sessions focused on business health, financial sustainability, and operations
- Help providers understand their cost per child, cash flow, and business goals in culturally responsive and plain language
- Track member progress, flag risks, and adapt your approach to what each provider actually needs
Co-Facilitate Group Coaching and Peer Groups (~15% of your…
