Job Overview

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. The team tackles complex challenges involving thousands of variables in the supply chain.

You will join a diverse group of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver safety, security, and capacity at the lowest cost while contributing to an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas.

We are seeking a motivated professional for the Data Center Logistics Manager position. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple spare parts rooms located in staffed and unstaffed Data Centers.
  • Analyze and continuously improve work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing.
  • Set, maintain, and continually improve performance plans and performance metrics.
  • Ensure timely and accurate inventory movement throughout Data Centers.
  • Develop performance goals and objectives to meet customer promise expectations.
  • Create and execute productivity plans, balancing labor across teams.
  • Determine timelines that meet business and customer expectations.
  • Partner with management to establish and maintain quality control standards.
  • Remove roadblocks and obstacles for major initiatives.
  • Act as the primary communication and escalation point for internal and external teams.
  • Develop team strategies, vision, and goals aligned with the broader organization.
  • Ensure operational practices are fully compliant with legislation and policy.
  • Generate and filter information from higher management to teams.
  • Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.
  • Drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, and process changes.
  • Facilitate team coordination and cohesion.
  • Maintain focus on personal and team growth and development.
  • Distribute new opportunities fairly among team members.
  • Conduct regular 1:1’s focused on personal development.
  • Ensure accountability and documentation for coaching opportunities.
  • Open new requisitions and raise hiring standards.
  • Champion continuous improvement by driving process standardization.
  • Contribute to operational deployment plans and post‑deployment evaluations using PDSA.
  • Advise team members on process improvement strategies.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of logistics operations experience.
  • 2+ years of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehousing experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience with at least 5 direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing inventory in warehousing, retail, or distribution settings.
  • Experience in transportation operations and industry knowledge.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
Benefits

The base salary range for this position is 65,000.00 –  USD annually.
