Position: Consulting Senior Associate (CBP)

Consulting Senior Associate

Eagle Hill is proactively seeking Consulting Senior Associate candidates to fill project roles for our U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client. These projects will provide strategic, operational, and analytical support to enable CBP offices to modernize operations, enhance workforce programs, and improve mission delivery. Applicants must be willing and able to work on client sites within the Washington, DC metro area on a daily basis or as required by the client.

Anticipated project work may include Program and Project Management, Strategic Communications, Workforce Engagement, Data Analytics, Process Optimization, Change Management or other Eagle Hill service offerings.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the development of client solutions and the creation of strategies, approaches, and implementation plans
  • Developing and conducting stakeholder interviews
  • Developing high quality communications, such as presentations, newsletters, and memos
  • Drafting documentation for client and internal work products
  • Supporting data gathering and analysis to identify gaps and recommendations
  • Facilitating the client’s task management processes
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years performing project-based work with demonstrated ownership of work streams and/or deliverables in support of client solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own and advance work streams or major deliverables by exercising sound judgment, managing priorities, anticipating risks, and contributing to practical, solution-oriented outcomes
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with demonstrated success developing trust, credibility, and rapport with clients or other stakeholders through professionalism, follow‑through, and awareness of stakeholder needs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to tailor communications to different audiences, exercise discretion, and communicate with confidence and professionalism in client‑facing environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience managing time and meeting deadlines across multiple and competing priorities, including the ability to stay organized, adjust to changing needs, and keep work moving without sacrificing quality
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with a team, including knowing when to move work forward independently, when to seek input, and when to elevate issues appropriately
  • Proven ability to take initiative on projects
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (including Excel and PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to effectively use virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
  • Technical aptitude; ability to quickly learn new technology platforms
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to successfully obtain and retain a CBP Background Investigation (BI), as well as any other background investigations required to perform client work
Desired Qualifications
  • Active CBP BI or have held a CBP BI within the last two years
  • Data Analytics skills and experience with relevant platforms (e.g., PowerBI)
  • Strategic communications experience
  • Prior management consulting experience for Federal clients, focused on delivering solutions in Eagle Hill’s service lines (Organizational Performance, Talent, Change Management, Business Intelligence, and/or Technology Enablement)
Compensation

A reasonable starting salary range for this position is $81,000–$95,000, based on the Washington, DC Metro area and adjusted for experience, location, and the applicant’s level.
