Salary Range: $95,000 – $125,000 annually, based on experience, technical expertise, and project scope.
Position OverviewWarner Mechanical, a Division of R.W. Warner., is looking for a Commissioning & Closeout Project Manager to join their team! The Commissioning & Closeout Project Manager – Mechanical & Plumbing leads the testing, commissioning, documentation, and closeout phases of commercial construction projects. This role ensures all mechanical and plumbing systems are properly tested, documented, and turned over in compliance with contract requirements, code standards, and client expectations.
The position works closely with field teams, project managers, inspectors, and clients to achieve timely and successful project closeout.
- Coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, startup, and system turnover activities
- Manage all closeout documentation, including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, training materials, and certifications
- Work with field teams, commissioning agents, inspectors, and clients to complete final inspections and punch lists
- Track deficiencies and ensure timely resolution through project closeout
- Support final system acceptance and owner turnover
- Provide regular closeout status updates to project teams and leadership
- Ensure closeout activities comply with contractual, regulatory, and client requirements
- Experience commissioning and closing out mechanical and plumbing systems on commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems, testing procedures, and construction documentation
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Proficiency with construction project management and document control software
- Office-based role with regular coordination with field teams and occasional site visits
