Job Summary

The Alarm Management Technician is responsible for monitoring and responding to alarm systems across pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratory, and storage environments. This role ensures timely identification and resolution of equipment malfunctions, environmental deviations, and security alerts to maintain regulatory compliance and protect product integrity. The technician works closely with manufacturing, facilities, and quality teams to assess alarms, implement corrective actions, and document all activities in accordance with regulatory and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor alarm systems in real time, including equipment, environmental, and security alerts.
  • Announce and assess causes of alarms while following established troubleshooting and escalation procedures.
  • Respond to alarms by conducting site evaluations, implementing corrective actions, and documenting incidents.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, facilities, and quality teams to resolve issues and restore compliant conditions.
  • Maintain detailed logs of alarm events, actions taken, and resolution outcomes for regulatory and quality assurance purposes.
  • Support alarm system testing, calibration, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Assist in reviewing and improving alarm response protocols and training documentation.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements including GMP, FDA, and MHRA guidelines related to pharmaceutical operations.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and support emergency management activities when required.
Required Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated environments preferred.
  • Experience monitoring or supporting facility alarm or control systems.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Experience with facility monitoring systems such as SCADA, EMS, PCS, or BMS platforms
    .
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing environments and regulatory compliance standards.
Required Skills
