Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical construction projects and estimates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, construction management, project management, and electrical systems.
Primary FunctionThis role is for a project manager with responsibilities also assisting with estimating. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and completion of electrical construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires close coordination with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal departments to drive successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities- Develop project budgets and plans for projects and calculate the total cost of the project.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and general contractors (GCs).
- Participate in estimate handoff and fully understand scope, risk, and execution strategy.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, work plans, and cost forecasts.
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted scopes.
- Direct subcontractors and internal field teams to meet safety, quality, schedule, and productivity goals.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation.
- Track job costs and labor productivity.
- Support project closeout, commissioning, and final cost reconciliation.
- Apply lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare bids and cost estimates that address every part/division of a project.
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
- Identify the scope of work.
- Experience with Trimble Accubid estimating program is a plus.
- Federal Government project experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Excellent leadership abilities.
- Organizational and attention to detail.
- Estimating familiarity with Trimble Accubid is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of electrical code, procedures, and material and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Good understanding of data analysis methods and KPIs.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Critical thinker and problem-solver.
