Job SummaryWe are seeking a seasoned Project Executive to lead and oversee heavy highway construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in large‑scale infrastructure projects, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.
Duties and Responsibilities- Lead and manage one or more heavy highway construction projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Oversee the development of project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis, ensuring projects are executed within financial parameters.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Provide leadership and direction to project managers, engineers, superintendents, and site personnel, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Work closely with senior management and operational leaders to identify and deliver opportunities for development and growth.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project execution, developing contingency plans.
- Oversee contract negotiations, administration, and compliance, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Ensure all projects adhere to quality standards and comply with applicable regulations, codes, and specifications.
- Champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Optimize the use of resources to maximize efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, financial performance, and risk assessments.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports.
- Support business development efforts by identifying new project opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy highway construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership or executive role. Proven track record of successfully managing large‑scale infrastructure projects. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Skills and Abilities- Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy highway construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience with multimillion‑dollar budgets.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite.
Expected annual salary range: $175,000–$215,000 (salary open for conversation). This range is specific to the job level and takes into account education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The salary range does not include incentive pay or benefits, which will be provided separately when appropriate.
