Assistant Superintendent

Responsible for assisting Superintendents and Project Managers in planning for the successful fulfillment of construction projects; assisting in supervising the on-site aspects of construction project fulfillment; assuming all of the duties and responsibilities of a Superintendent on assigned smaller jobs; developing and fostering relationships with customers and referral sources; communicating and collaborating with members of management and staff within the Group and throughout the company;

providing mentoring and training support to site support staff; ensuring that all team members associated with projects support and adhere to the M-K core values and safety culture and related policies and practices; supporting and adhering to all company operating and regulatory compliance-focused policies and practices.

• Support Daily Operations
• Review Work Scope, Schedule & Staffing w/Subs
• Review Work for Conformance to Standards
• Manage Project Docs
• Support Project Escalation & Resolution
• Submit Daily Logs & Reports
• Support Development of Project Procedures, Schedules, & Standards
• Maintain a Safe, Clean, & Orderly Jobsite

• Regulatory Compliance
• QA/QC Principles & Application
• Safety Monitoring & Reporting

• A High School Diploma or equivalent; a college degree in construction preferred; specific training and education focused on the construction project management discipline;
• OSHA training, CPR and Standard First Aid training/certification;
  Green card for SCE preferred.
• A minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Superintendent with a commercial general contracts construction company preferred.
