General Summary
Receives, records and distributes work orders to service crews upon customers' request for service on articles or utilities purchased from wholesale or retail establishments or utility company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Records information such as name, address, article to be repaired, or service to be rendered.
- Prepares work order and distributes to service crew.
- Schedules service call and dispatches service crew.
- Keeps record of service calls and work orders; attaches time to jobs.
- May dispatch orders and relay messages and special instructions to mobile crews and other departments, using radio telephone equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a dispatch or similar customer service center position.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Previous experience using MAXIMO preferred; must have familiarity with Excel.
- Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction and passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers.
- Strong decision‑making and analytical skills.
- Strong work ethic and team‑player mentality.
- Be able to stand, push, pull, bend, kneel, and stretch for extended periods of time.
- Be able to lift 25 lbs.
This position is located at the United States Naval Academy. The hourly rate of pay is $20.70 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package, 11 paid holidays, and free parking.
