The Goddard School of Urbana (Carriage Hill) is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated educator to join our outstanding Pre‑K program as a Universal Pre‑K Grant Teacher.

This position will begin June 5, 2026, and will transition into a Universal Pre‑K Grant Lead Teacher role for the 2026–2027 school year.

Summer Pay (June–August 2026):
Compensation during the summer session will follow our summer pay scale, which differs from the UPK school‑year salary structure.

School‑Year Salary (2026–2027 UPK Grant Role):
Starting at $60,000 (UPK Grant‑funded position; school year only).

This position offers a strong earning opportunity during the academic year, with a clearly defined transition from summer employment to the grant‑funded school‑year role.

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to delivering high‑quality, play‑based learning experiences that prepare children for success in kindergarten.

• 90‑Hour Preschool Certification (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Degree in Education or Early Childhood Education (Preferred)
• Experience in a Pre‑K classroom setting (Preferred)

• Create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and academic growth through play‑based learning
• Build a culture of excellence in a structured, nurturing classroom environment
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and engaging learning space
• Collaborate with leadership and fellow educators
• Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with families
