Position Summary
This position provides instruction to students who are preparing to enter or are already a member of the skilled trades workforce. The instruction is delivered using lecture, hands‑on labs, and distance‑learning technology (online video lectures, quizzes, etc.) depending on the assigned course. Course outcomes range from entry‑level employment preparation to professional development.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Facilitate instruction that aligns with course outcomes, as assigned.
- Ensure that students complete all course work, including participating in hands‑on lab projects.
- Actively engage students throughout the course, promoting critical thinking and workplace skills.
- Prepare and administer lesson plans for each class of the course.
- Provide students with timely outcome progress reports.
- Report grades and attendance, and perform other faculty administrative tasks when required.
- Develop new course content, when assigned.
- Other duties as required for student success.
Minimum Qualifications
- Industry license or certificate in area of expertise.
- Previous experience teaching adult learners.
- Experience using computers and associated technology.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multi‑cultural workplace.
