Job DescriptionWorcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is seeking part‑time adjunct faculty to teach day and/or evening classes for the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Positions are created to provide an available applicant pool for the department and will be filled on an as‑needed basis. Start dates will vary by course and semester.
Responsibilities- Teach from the established curriculum, incorporating personal expertise and experience.
- Provide students with timely feedback.
- Grade assignments and examinations.
- Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (PhD preferred; master’s degree required).
- Significant practical experience in the relevant area.
- Prior teaching experience at the college‑level.
- Experience teaching online courses and using Canvas LMS is preferred, but not required.
$7,500–$10,000 per course.
