Adjunct Teaching Faculty – Civil & Environmental Engineering

Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is seeking part‑time adjunct faculty to teach day and/or evening classes for the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Positions are created to provide an available applicant pool for the department and will be filled on an as‑needed basis. Start dates will vary by course and semester.

• Teach from the established curriculum, incorporating personal expertise and experience.
• Provide students with timely feedback.
• Grade assignments and examinations.

• Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (PhD preferred; master’s degree required).
• Significant practical experience in the relevant area.
• Prior teaching experience at the college‑level.
• Experience teaching online courses and using Canvas LMS is preferred, but not required.

$7,500–$10,000 per course.
