Position Summary: The Bilingual Testing Assistant administers and proctors examinations for AACC students, prospective students, community members, and certification candidates. The assistant maintains exam security, provides excellent customer service to a diverse population, responds to student needs, uses ADA technology, and supports students, staff, faculty, and community members. Proficiency in both English and Spanish, written and oral communication skills, and in-person work are essential functions of this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities- Administer exams to Spanish‑speaking candidates for contract testing
- Administer course‑based exams, placement testing, and vendor exams
- Interview, assess, and counsel students regarding educational background, test results, and course placement; refer students to college resources as appropriate
- Administer exams to students needing accommodations for disabilities
- Adhere to test‑security guidelines and best practices
- Enforce testing policies
- Maintain proctor certification requirements
- Perform clerical work such as processing exam submissions and answering emails and phone calls
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate of Arts degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with ability to read, write, and speak fluently
- Available to work Fridays 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and comfort with learning various computer software and web applications
- Ability to work with minimal supervision with attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to deal effectively with students, faculty, and staff while providing exemplary customer service
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including day, weekend, and evening hours, to accommodate department and college needs
