Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty day time positions for an English adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus.

The position is for daytime teaching, in-person, at our Middletown campus.

Compensation and Benefits:
Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty:
The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant or teaching experience. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.

Special Assignments
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Masters in English, Journalism, or Literature or Masters with 18 credits of English. The ability to use instructional technology is required.

Additional Considerations
- Occupational experience in the field. Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools. College level teaching experience, online experience a plus. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written. The ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
