St. John Regional Catholic School is seeking a qualified full‑time long‑term English Language Arts teacher for Middle School (7th and 8th grades). The teacher will supervise and instruct students during the regular teacher’s six‑week absence, from April 20, 2026, through June 5, 2026. The substitute will follow the curriculum provided by the principal and will plan, organize, and implement the instructional program within a Catholic school environment, where every child is recognized as a unique child of God.
EssentialFunctions
- Actively supervise students at all times.
- Respond to all parent communication in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
- Oversee the instruction of students.
- Follow the daily routine of the teacher and fulfill other duties outside the classroom, such as lunch and recess duty.
- Interact effectively and respond to communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
- Degree in education preferred.
- Current MSDE certification preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and effective supervision.
- Experience teaching in a school setting.
$21.00/hour
