Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Regional Director at the Shady Grove campus, the adjunct faculty will teach Construction Management Technology courses in construction practice, building systems, structures, cost estimation, or construction safety. The courses are scheduled Monday through Friday in the afternoon and/or evening.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Industry certifications and/or experience.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
  • Commitment to equity and inclusion in teaching.
Physical Demands
  • May require extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, and sitting at a desk.
  • May require lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires communication with a variety of constituents externally and internally.
  • Requires operation of a variety of office equipment.
Benefits

The normal course load for adjunct faculty is one to two courses. Minimum Qualifications

The position is designated for a Lecturer serving in a teaching capacity for a limited time or part‑time. The typical requirement is a Master’s degree in the field of instruction or a related area, or equivalent professional experience. Appointments are typically one to three years and are renewable.
