Special Education Teacher - Frederick, Maryland

Make an impact in the lives of students with special needs by bringing your expertise to a supportive school environment. There are three full-time contract opportunities available for Special Education Teachers at multiple school sites, with placements starting in mid-August and running through the beginning of June. All positions are on-site, giving you the chance to work closely with students, collaborate with staff, and create meaningful learning experiences.

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher for the relevant grade level (elementary or middle school)
• Experience working with students in self-contained and/or behavioral support settings preferred
• Ability to effectively manage small caseloads and adapt lessons to individual student needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Oakdale Middle School: 15-student Learning for Life program, 7:30 AM 3:30 PM
• Elementary site (location TBD):
  Self-contained classroom, 10-student caseload, 9:00 AM 3:30 PM
• Centerville Elementary:
  Self-contained class for students with behavioral needs
• Full-time schedule, August 17th through June 4th
• On-site work only professional presence is required at each location

• Develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Plans in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Foster a supportive classroom environment promoting academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with instructional teams and families to monitor progress and update goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with program requirements
