Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Quick Home Energy Check Up Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting quality residential energy check ups and promoting our services directly to customers. As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in increasing energy savings for our customers and expanding brand awareness in the local community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Lead Generation:
Engage with prospective customers face-to-face, presenting our services and informing customers on the Empower MD program. - Product and Service Knowledge:
Develop a deep understanding of our products and services. Educate customers on benefits and procedures of Quick Home Energy Check Ups. - Customer Engagement:
Help customers identify areas of potential savings in the home and install energy saving products including LED light bulbs, shower heads, faucet aerators and power strips. - Data Collection:
Assess areas of energy saving opportunities in the home and collect photos and required documentation. - Brand Representation:
Represent our company professionally and ethically, adhering to established brand guidelines and values. Uphold a positive image of the organization through your interactions with customers and the community. - Team
Collaboration:
Collaborate with canvassers, other technicians and QA managers to align efforts and ensure a seamless customer experience. Share customer insights and feedback to enhance overall business performance.
Skills & Experience:
- BPI Building Science Principles Certification
- Ability to apply knowledge and training in the field while engaging with customers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and connect with diverse individuals
- Self‑motivated, resilient, and results‑driven, with the ability to work independently
- Well‑organized with good time management skills to optimize territory coverage
Basic computer skills and proficiency - Ability to adapt to various situations and personalities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel within assigned territories
Customers, canvassers, production crews, subcontractors, general public, all employees, including Senior and Executive Management.
Physical Demands:Physical working conditions may involve standing, reaching and bending for long periods of time, ascending ladders, working in confined spaces, and extended travel.

Qualifications:
- Prior energy efficiency experience preferred
- Must successfully pass background check and pre‑employment drug testing
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis for any employer
Ability to grow in a career path toward Energy Auditor.
