Job Description

We are seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer with strong digital signal processing (DSP) and wireless communications expertise to develop and validate FPGA IP supporting a scalable software/firmware‑based RF platform for satellite communications. You will implement, modify, integrate, and test FPGA cores across commercial and proprietary hardware/software environments and contribute to high‑performance, modular FPGA‑based designs.

Job Title

  • Integrate and test HDL modules on FPGA/SoC platforms (commercial and proprietary).
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software teams to define architectures and partition functionality across FPGA fabric, embedded processors, and system software.
  • Develop and simulate DSP/control algorithms using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools; translate models into efficient FPGA implementations.
  • Produce subsystem requirements and technical documentation, such as ICDs, design reports, and specifications, and support reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Plan, execute, and document integration and test activities at both subsystem and system levels.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal and external teams working on FPGA/SoC/processor/antenna subsystems.
  • Contribute to standards‑related efforts and continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices.
  • Support business development activities as needed, including providing technical inputs, proposal support, and assessments.
Essential Skills
  • FPGA Design working with Xilinx and VHDL.
  • DSP implementation in FPGA fabric.
  • Experience with RFSoC or other SoC platforms for FPGA, high‑speed digital, Ethernet, systems integration software, simulation, and verification software.
  • Strong FPGA development experience using Verilog and/or VHDL across the full design flow.
  • Hands‑on experience with AMD/Xilinx Vivado and/or Intel/Altera tool chains.
  • Working knowledge of high‑speed digital interfaces and SoC integration.
  • Experience in electronic warfare, radar, DSP, digital receivers, waveform generation, SDR, or SWaP‑constrained embedded processing.
  • Proven success in delivering hardware/software integrated systems.
  • Understanding of wireless communications PHY/MAC concepts.
  • Lab bring‑up and troubleshooting skills using test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to debug and maintain Linux‑based embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git/Subversion and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively in cross‑disciplinary teams.
