Systems Engineer L2 Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support programs and contracts involving complex system architectures, integration efforts, and mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, and implementation planning.
This position requires direct interaction with government stakeholders, senior leadership, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions and overall technical integrity of assigned efforts.
Required Experience- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer (SE) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Analyze user requirements, CONOPS documentation, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
- Lead system design and development activities.
- Guide users in formulating requirements and recommend alternative technical approaches.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments.
- Provide technical leadership for requirements integration, system design, and technology implementation.
- Incorporate new systems, plans, and designs into ongoing operational environments.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, system architecture documentation, and system design artifacts.
- Support system development and implementation planning through preparation and assessment of:
- System Engineering Management Plans (SEMPs)
- System Integration Plans
- System Test Plans
- Interface directly with Government customers regarding systems engineering considerations, technical issues, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain responsibility for the technical integrity of work products and engineering deliverables.
- Collaborate with program personnel, government representatives, and senior executives.
- Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
- Experience supporting complex DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced mission environments.
- Experience with large-scale systems integration and enterprise architectures preferred.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
