The Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager is a full-time, on-site position located in Frederick, CO. This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and industrial mechanical/HVAC projects from design through close-out. Daily responsibilities include assisting with project scheduling, budgeting, and documentation; supporting submittals, RFIs, and change orders; and coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
The role also involves reviewing drawings and specifications, tracking project progress, supporting field teams with technical information, and helping resolve issues that arise during construction. The Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager contributes to safety compliance, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure successful project delivery.
- Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering skills with exposure to mechanical/HVAC or related building systems.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills, including experience with scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
- Candidates should possess foundational Electrical Engineering knowledge applicable to mechanical and HVAC systems integration.
- Relevant qualifications include proficiency with construction management software and MS Office, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Beneficial qualifications include experience with design-build delivery, understanding of safety regulations and building codes, and prior work in commercial or industrial construction environments.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
Pay: $72,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year + Bonus + Company Vehicle
