Are you an experienced Mechanical Drafter looking for an immediately available contract where you'll support cutting-edge engineering projects within the defence and advanced technology sector, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position?
Join an innovative engineering company developing mission‑critical technologies for government and commercial customers. You'll work alongside a highly experienced Mechanical Engineering team, producing and maintaining the engineering documentation that supports the design and manufacture of complex mechanical systems.
You’ll play a key role in updating engineering drawings, managing Bills of Materials, implementing Engineering Change Orders, and ensuring documentation meets ASME standards while supporting projects from concept through production.

The Role- Create and update mechanical engineering drawings using Solid Works
- Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Review and update legacy drawing packages and engineering documentation
- Ensure drawings comply with ASME standards and company requirements
- 5+ years' experience using Solid Works
- Strong understanding of BOMs and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes
- Knowledge of ASME drafting standards
- Experience with Costpoint or another ERP system is advantageous
