Position: Stationary Engineer I-Fort Detrick

Constellation seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Stationary Engineer I to join our team at Fort Detrick, bringing expertise in facility maintenance and operational efficiency. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance of our utility systems, which serves as the backbone for delivering reliable energy solutions across diverse sectors. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency projects within a leading, innovative energy company.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain boilers, turbines, generators, and other stationary equipment.
  • Regularly monitor performance of equipment, recording operational data and identifying deviations or malfunctions.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure reliability and efficiency of energy systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and standards in all operations and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering departments to implement improvements and projects.
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training to other staff as needed.
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies or unexpected problems with equipment.

Required Skills

  • Strong technical skills with knowledge of boiler systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency in using industry-specific tools and technology for diagnostics and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
