Community Banking Specialist

Relationship Banker | Universal Banker | Platform Specialist

Location: Frederick, MD (Downtown)

What You'll Accomplish

Within your first year, you will:

• Become a trusted advisor to customers by deepening relationships and identifying opportunities to improve their financial well-being.
• Consistently achieve individual sales and service objectives while contributing to office-wide goals.
• Develop strong referral partnerships with Mortgage, Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, and other business lines.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences that improve satisfaction, retention, and relationship growth.
• Ensure all account openings, lending activities, and customer transactions are completed accurately and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Build a strong presence within the local community and represent ACNB Bank professionally inside and outside the branch.

What You'll Do

As a Community Banking Specialist, you'll balance relationship management, sales, and operational responsibilities by:

• Conducting financial conversations to understand customer goals and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Opening consumer and business deposit accounts.
• Processing consumer loan and credit applications.
• Identifying opportunities for cross-selling and referrals.
• Proactively contacting customers to strengthen relationships and uncover additional banking needs.
• Maintaining a thorough understanding of ACNB Bank products, services, and competitive offerings.
• Assisting with branch operations and customer transactions while supporting overall office success.
• Managing risk through adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking candidates who have demonstrated success building customer relationships and achieving sales goals within a retail banking environment.

Preferred Background

• Top candidates will typically have 2-3 years of successful branch banking experience and a proven track record of meeting sales and relationship-building goals.
• Experience opening deposit accounts and discussing consumer lending products.
• Strong knowledge of banking products and services.
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and banking technology platforms.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Familiarity with the local market and community is highly desirable.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
