This uniformed deputy sheriff is assigned to the Court Security Unit of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO). This position is responsible for providing security to the overall County Courthouse including itsThe qualifications/requirements, knowledge/skills/abilities and physical requirements or working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Minimum age 21 years
• U.S.A. citizenship
• High school graduation or the equivalent
• Current Law Enforcement certification by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission (MPCTC) or a comparable certification from a State outside of Maryland
• Possession of a valid driver's license

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• Ability to maintain County Authorized Driver privileges
• Abi
