Supporting the Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer, assists in carrying out the activities of Frederick Health, Inc. (FH) Compliance Program. Plans and executes risk-based audits to ensure the health system adheres to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. This position evaluates internal controls, identifies potential risks (fraud, waste, abuse), and works with operational, clinical, and revenue cycle departments to develop corrective action plans.
Provides system wide compliance training & education, policy development and internal investigations.
Supports the Mission of Frederick Health and complies with the hospital's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behavior.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
BA/BS required or equivalent work experience, MBA/MHA preferred.
Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Processional Coder (CPC), or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA).
3-5 years of experience in healthcare compliance and internal auditing in a healthcare environment (hospital, health system, or payer).
Regulatory Knowledge:
Deep understanding of CMS Guidelines, OIG compliance program guidance, and HIPAA regulations.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Systems. Experence using data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
Experience in developing and carrying out training and education of staff.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, act independently and uphold ethical standards.

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.
Salary Range - $67,870.40 - $
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
