Experience:
Minimum of 1 year hospital acute care experience
License:
Current state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy
Certifications:
Basic Life Support through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Must-Have:
Degree from an ACOTE accredited school
Experience running Occupational Therapy groups is a plus
Strong documentation skills in an EMR (preferably hospital-based system)
Strong skills in flexibility, time management, and communication
Focus on patient care and delivering excellent customer service
Description:
This is a large multidisciplinary team with approximately 40 clinicians.
It is a fast-paced hospital environment where clinicians treat a variety of diagnoses.
The common mix of cases includes orthopedics, neurological, behavioral health, and critical care.
The candidate will focus on treatment that includes morning ADLs, 1:1 treatment, and facilitating group treatment.

Responsibilities:
Deliver quality occupational therapy services according to treatment plans for patients.
Document using web-based software and documentation systems (EMR).
Meet all clinical, departmental, and regulatory expectations.
Provide accurate and timely documentation for the current patient caseload.
Conduct patient and family education as well as education with hospital staff.
Participate in promoting a positive work environment to enhance teamwork and communication.
