We are looking for an Information Systems Security Officer to join a growing team in Annapolis Junction, MD
.
We are seeking experienced Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) to support secure government environments and oversee the operational security posture of assigned systems and enclaves. The ISSO will ensure ongoing compliance with cybersecurity standards, support authorization activities, and manage security processes across the system lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Maintain and oversee system security posture and compliance
- Implement and manage security controls and authorization processes
- Apply knowledge of security tools, encryption technologies, and communication protocols
- Support hardware and software security implementation
- Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to address vulnerabilities and risk
- Ensure systems meet applicable DoD cybersecurity requirements
- Ten (10) years of experience as an ISSO on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:
- Current security tools
- Hardware/software security implementation
- Communication protocols
- Encryption techniques and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- DoD 8570/8140 compliance with IAM Level I or higher required
- Fifteen (15) years of experience as an ISSO on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Experience in at least three (3) of the following areas:
- Current security tools
- Hardware/software security implementation
- Communication protocols
- Encryption techniques and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Four (4) additional years of ISSO experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
- DoD 8570/8140 compliance with IAM Level I or higher required
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Pay RangePay Range: $49,996.80 - $

Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
