Data Scientist, Data Analyst
Summary
As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in transforming raw, complex data into actionable intelligence. You will bridge the gap between qualitative mission goals and quantitative software solutions, working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract insights from diverse data formats. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who enjoys developing scripts, implementing machine learning techniques, and creating data visualizations that reveal the underlying meaning of large‑scale datasets.
PositionResponsibilities
- Develop and implement statistical, machine learning, and heuristic techniques to create descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
- Develop statistical tests to make data‑driven recommendations and decisions
- Produce data visualizations that provide insight into dataset structure and meaning
- Incorporate SME input into feature vectors suitable for analytic development and testing
- Translate qualitative analysis processes and goals into quantitative formulations coded into software prototypes
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify important information in raw data and develop scripts that extract this from various formats (e.g., SQL tables, structured metadata, network logs)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or computer science)
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics, plus one (1) year of experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB
- An active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience in software or cloud development
- Experience developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics

Salary$125,500 - $197,400
ITAR RequirementThis position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
