Dev Ops Engineer - (Python, Ansible, Terraform)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
DescriptionProvide a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates the microservices of a modernized operational system utilizing cutting‑edge technologies.
Responsibilities- Develop Infrastructure as Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools.
- Install, configure, and provide performance tuning for Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, and cloud‑native logging and metrics collection tools.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code using Git Lab runners and Argo CD.
- Manage commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).
- Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Experience patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of Red‑Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Installation, configuration, and performance tuning of Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, and cloud‑native logging/metrics tools.
- Management of CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab runners, Argo CD).
- Proficiency with AWS services.
- Exposure to Kubernetes (EKS, ECS, Fargate).
- Active Top Secret clearance with polygraph.
- Current Security+ CE certificate.
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Bridge, Athena, Step Functions using Terraform and auto‑scaling.
- Understanding of AWS networking principles (VPCs, NATs, Internet gateways).
- Develop and manage Git Lab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime.
- Experience with Kubernetes focused on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience. 9+ years of professional experience, or 7+ years with a related Master’s degree.
Salary Range$195k-$235k (Annually)
