Job DescriptionThe Database Administrator supports a large, complex, and fast-paced operational program, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical database systems. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity, availability, and security of multiple databases while applying best practices in database administration and governance.
The Database Administrator performs a broad range of functions, including daily administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system databases and replication processes. This includes monitoring database performance and memory utilization using standard tools, executing system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching, and performing database recovery actions when necessary. The role also involves troubleshooting and resolving database issues, as well as modifying existing scripts and developing new scripts to address recurring challenges.
