Data Scientist Security Clearance

Overview

The Data Scientist I supports the U.S. Army by developing, documenting, and maintaining acquisition strategies, strategic plans, and formal program management documentation to guide capability development and modernization initiatives.

• Use Power BI to create dashboards, interactive visual reports, and run queries and functions.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) with specific objectives and track them regularly.
• Analyze data and display it in reports to aid decision‑making.
• Convert business needs into technical specifications and establish a timetable for job completion.
• Create, test, and deploy Power BI scripts, and execute efficient deep analysis.
• Create charts and data documentation with explanations of algorithms, parameters, models, and relationships.
• Construct a data warehouse.
• Use SQL queries to obtain optimal results.
• Make technological adjustments to current BI systems to improve performance.
• Use filters and visualizations for better data understanding; background with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SAP.
• Prior experience in data‑related tasks.
• Understanding of the Microsoft BI Stack.
• Mastery in data analytics.
• Proficient in software development.
• Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics.
• Capable of enabling row‑level data security.

• Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in data analytics or statistics.
• Minimum five (5) years of related work experience.
• Seven years of relevant experience if a Bachelor’s degree is not possessed.
• Ability to run queries on Power BI Desktop with knowledge of Power BI application security layer models.
• Proficient in performing advanced‑level computations on datasets and excellent communication skills.
• Security clearance:
  Secret.

Salary Range: $145,000 – $162,000 (general guideline). It may vary based on scope, responsibilities, and candidate qualifications. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may also apply.
