Data Scientist Security Clearance

We are seeking a Data Scientist with experience in SIGINT. This role requires compiling various data sources via computer scripting, statistical analysis, and data modeling along with proficiency in API interaction and reading/using/building tools to retrieve data. Python using Jupyter notebooks and Pandas proficiency is required, and data visualization with Shapely, Geo Pandas, or Plotly is a plus. Proficiency with AMOD tools, networking, HTML with Bootstrap, or Pyodide is also a plus.

You will be working in a team‑based setting, so a strong self‑starter is needed. Having experience with SIGINT data collection or completing military 450/451 courses is a plus.

• Foundations: (Mathematical, Computational, Statistical).
• Data Processing: (Data management and curation, data description and visualization, workflow and reproducibility).
• Modeling, Inference, and Prediction: (Data modeling and assessment, domain‑specific considerations).
• Make and communicate principal conclusions from data using mathematics, statistics, computer science, and applications‑specific knowledge.
• Use analytic modeling, statistical analysis, programming, and other scientific methods to develop qualitative and quantitative ways for characterizing, exploring, and assessing large datasets in various states of organization, cleanliness, and structure that account for unique features and limitations of Government data holdings.
• Translate practical mission needs and analytic questions related to large datasets into technical requirements and assist others in drawing appropriate conclusions from the analysis.
• Effectively communicate complex technical information to non‑technical audiences.
• Leverage AI/ML techniques for optimization, automation, and collection processing.
• Proficiency with API interaction and tools to retrieve data.
• Data‑frame and aggregation experience using Python.
• Data visualization capabilities with Plotly, Shapely, and Geo Pandas.
• XKS/DX proficiency and an understanding of dataflow.
• Experience with Splunk, SQL, Elastic, Kibana, or networking.
• Front‑end web development using Bootstrap (HTML) or Pyodide.
• Experience or background with SIGINT data collection.

• Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or associate's degree with 12 years of experience, may be considered for individuals with in‑depth related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree must be in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics Statistics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, or Computer Science, or a related field (Computer Information Systems, Engineering), a degree in a physical/hard science (e.g., physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy), or another science discipline with a substantial computational component, provided it included a concentration of coursework (5+ courses) in advanced mathematics (typically 300‑level or higher, e.g., linear algebra, probability, statistics, machine learning) and/or computer science (e.g., algorithms, programming, data structures, data mining, artificial intelligence).
  
  College‑level or upper‑level math courses designated as elementary or basic do not count.
• Broader range of degrees will be considered if accompanied by a Certificate in Data Science from an accredited college or university.
• Relevant experience must include designing/implementing machine learning, data science, advanced analytical algorithms, programming (skill in at least one high‑level language such as Python), statistical analysis (e.g., variability, sampling error, inference, hypothesis testing, EDA, application of linear models), data management (e.g., data cleaning and transformation), data mining, data modeling, assessment, artificial intelligence, and/or software engineering.
• Python using Jupyter notebooks and Pandas proficiency is required, and data visualization with Shapely, Geo Pandas, or Plotly is a plus.
• Proficiency with AMOD tools, networking, HTML with Bootstrap, or Pyodide is a plus.
• Strong self‑starter in a team‑based setting.
• Experience with SIGINT data collection or completion of military 450/451 courses is a plus.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
