The Lockwood Group is seeking a Technical Writer to support aC5

ISR hardware and software effortfor a U.S. Army customer located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This program provides engineering, programmatic, and lifecycle support to enhance mission-critical command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5

ISR) capabilities in support of Army modernization priorities.

• Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and policy documents.
• Onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground or contractor location in Belcamp, MD

• Develop technical manuals, reports, and system documentation.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise materials.
• Ensure compliance with DoD documentation and security policies.
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to gather accurate technical information.
• Manage document version control and updates.

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field.
• 10 years experience in technical documentation,5+ within DoD environments.
• Experience using tools like CECOM Web Compose to develop, validate, and publish technical manuals in XML format to comply with military standards e.g. MIL-STD-40051-2B.
• Active DoD Secret clearance
