Required:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience with cybersecurity and information assurance.
- Minimum DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level I Certification
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated initiative solving problems in past roles and responsibilities
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of Cyber Mission Force construct and operational construct
- Utilize cyber expertise to coordinate on the development, operational acceptance, and training for all cyber operations systems, platforms, and infrastructures in support CNMF operations.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the DOD cybersecurity policies and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Understand cyber operations infrastructure development process and cycle
- Ability to support the operational employment of cyber operations systems, platforms, and infrastructures
- Previous experience as an ISSO is preferred

Peraton is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our USCYBERCOM team.
Location:
On-site at Fort Meade, MD.
- Possess an in-depth understanding and the ability to apply intermediate concepts of cyber engineering and cybersecurity
- Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the DOD cybersecurity policies and the Risk Management Framework
- With no guidance, conduct cybersecurity engineering research and analysis, provide recommendations for the implementation of security mechanisms, and provide educational briefings on the recommended cybersecurity mechanism
- Contribute substantive content to the development of cybersecurity documentation, concept papers, and test plans required by Command policies and the Risk Management Framework
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of DOD and/or Intelligence Community (IC) engineering efforts, across multiple engineering disciplines
- With no guidance, evaluate functional operation and performance. In light of test results make recommendations regarding C&A
- Liaise between the operators, the developers and the system engineers; ensure requirement are within the limitation
- Assess infrastructure requests; provide recommendations and guidance on development
- Perform other ad hoc tasks in execution of Commander’s Cyber Mission assessment priorities
- Act as Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for key CNMF networks and/or network platforms
