The Dev Ops Engineer will provide a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates the microservices of a modernized operational system using cutting-edge cloud, containerization, automation, and CI/CD technologies. This role is responsible for developing Infrastructure as Code, automating operational tasks, maintaining compliant Linux-based systems, managing AWS cloud infrastructure, supporting containerized workloads, and enabling reliable software delivery through automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
Responsibilities- Develop Infrastructure as Code, automation scripts, and tools to automate tasks, provision managed services, and support operational efficiency using technologies such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Patch, harden, and maintain compliance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
- Install, configure, maintain, and tune platforms and services including Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, and cloud-native logging and metrics collection tools.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code using Git Lab runners, Git Lab CI/CD, and Argo CD.
- Manage commercial cloud computing platforms, primarily AWS.
- Design, implement, and support reliable infrastructure services that meet program and product needs.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, reliability, and uptime.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and technical leadership.
- Perform work in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, with little to no remote work.
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including but not limited to EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, Step Functions using Terraform and auto scaling.
- Understanding of AWS networking principles to include VPCs, NATs, IP Gateway.
- Develop and manage Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime.
- Kubernetes experience with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- An active Top Secret clearance with polygraph (CI within last 7 years).
- Current Security+CE certificate.
Salary Range: $212k-$259k (Annually)
