Job Summary

This role requires a Scheduler/Project Manager who advances project and schedule management skills. Working within an earned‑value and Agile program for large‑scale complex systems integration and development, the candidate will manage a complex MS Project schedule with thousands of tasks, expand scheduling capabilities with automation, risk management principles, and routine schedule risk assessments (SRAs). The Scheduler/Project Manager will work directly with the Program’s Lead Scheduler to reduce workload and improve productivity and performance.

The selected candidate will work with Agile teams and Control Account Managers to develop detailed schedules for program activities, collect regular status updates, and create visualizations using MS Project and other tools to support overall program status and reporting. The role will participate in monthly earned‑value reporting, accelerate data capture, identify critical driver paths, and provide judgment on schedule dependencies. The candidate must be comfortable discussing systems engineering, software development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of large software and hardware systems.

Responsibilities include providing advance notice of schedule concerns, identifying solutions, and treating the schedule as one of many project views. Solid PM experience and some MS Project scheduling experience are required; a willingness to learn and grow skills is encouraged.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively to manage multiple schedules within the program environment.
  • Engage with Agile teams and Control Account Managers to create new schedules, status existing schedules, and produce visualizations for customers and leaders.
  • Improve the schedule management process and develop automations and other innovations to increase productivity of earned‑value data collection and reporting.
  • Enter and track monthly status for a wide array of sub‑schedules that comprise the integrated master schedule (IMS).
  • Analyze schedule results and advise leaders and team members on ways to meet schedule constraints.
  • Analyze critical/driving paths and conduct schedule risk assessments (SRAs).
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, with at least 8 years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager for a software development program or other related technical activity.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with MS Project as a Project Manager or Scheduler.
  • High interest in learning new scheduling approaches and applying them in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong time‑management skills and ability to quickly identify when issues need elevation, discussion, or triage.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion.
  • Clearance Required:
    Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph on day one.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience managing or analyzing the critical path of a task network.
Pay Range

$92,300.00 – $. The pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation.
