Responsibilities- Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Capabilites include: support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems; daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems; assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems; escalation and communication of status; system optimization and capacity planning; CI/CD design/implementation; container deployments and orchestration; scripting for automation; monitoring and logging; collaboration with developers for software releases; on-call production support; and documentation of processes, workflows, and configurations.
Requirement
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required (e.g., Active TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph).
Qualifications- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly.
- Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- This Labor Category must comply with certification requirements detailed in DoD 8570-M, IAT Level 2.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and command-line interface (CLI).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Power Shell).
- Experience with system automation tools (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policy for Windows).
- Knowledge of network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, KVM, Docker for Linux; Hyper-V, VMWare for Windows).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Zabbix, ELK).
- Understanding of security best practices and protocols.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and cloud platforms (AWS).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Assist in design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications on RKE2 and Kubernetes clusters.
- Write and maintain Bash scripts for automation and management tasks.
- Manage Docker container deployments and orchestration.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth and efficient software releases.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for production environments.
- Document processes, workflows, and configurations.

$42.42 - $104.64 per hour. Hourly pay rates are a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Factors include government contract rates, education, relevant experience, skills, certifications, and location.
